For most, the new year is a time to take stock and contemplate the year ahead and we are no exception.
December was a whirlwind of activity as we juggled the build of two new, Garden Huts with making our tumbledown cottage habitable for Christmas with 13 guests and four dogs! The paintbrushes were finally put down at lunchtime on Christmas eve only to be replaced by a potato peeler (and a gin & tonic). But we were ready on time and Christmas was a success with everyone (including the vegans in our midst) well fed and watered and with a room to sleep in. As Glenn & I both have our birthdays on Christmas day (yes, I know!) we got the shepherd’s hut and made our escape to it around midnight; the perfect end to a special day.
Looking ahead to 2016, we are full of excitement at the prospect of the interesting people we will meet and the projects we will be asked to work on. Who knows what the year may bring but we hope that you have a happy one!
